Pandit Lachhu Maharaj ji was born in 1907 in Lucknow. The middle son of Maharaja Kalka Prasad was Pandit Lachhu Maharaj. They were very playful in nature from childhood. Hence, the people of the house used to call him “Luchu”. His name changed to Lachhu Maharaj from the same name, while his real name was Baijnath Prasad Mishra.
Dance Training
His dance education was completed by Maharaj Bindadin, Kalka Prasad, and Acchan Maharaj. You started a dance performance from the tender age of 10. For some time he stayed with his elder brother pandit Acchan Maharaj in Rampur, Raigad, and other courts, but his health did not get rammed in the environment there, and he went to Bombay.
In the addition to the dance direction in films, “Nutan Natya Niket” started to provide dance education independently by opening an institution called “Nutan Natya Niket”. In 1972, he was appointed the director of Kathak Center Lucknow. He died on 19 July 1977. You were awarded the “President’s Medal” in 1957 AD.
