पुरुष कथक नर्तक आमतौर पर शरीर के ऊपरी हिस्से पर बंधे रेशम के दुपट्टे के साथ रेशम की धोती पहनते हैं ऊपर का शरीर आमतौर पर नंगे हो सकता हे या ढीली जैकेट से ढके हो सकते हैं। पुरुष नर्तकियों के आभूषण उनकी महिला समकक्षों की तुलना में काफी सरल होते हैं और आमतौर पर पत्थर से बने होते हैं।
